Sky Ticker Installation Requirements
Sky Ticker is compatible with both PC and MAC computers.
Adobe Air & Flash Player
Sky Ticker needs both Adobe® AIR™ and Adobe® Flash® Player (version 6.0 or later) to run. These are both free. If you don’t already have these Adobe applications on your computer, don’t worry as the automated installation process will get them for you.
During the installation and for subsequent updates you must have Administration Rights enabled on your computer.
You will need an Internet connection for live feeds to appear and for you to make searches. If you find an interesting article and you want to email it to one of your friends, then you will need desktop Email client software, such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird, for the “Send in email” feature to work.
Sky Ticker is a completely free application which is available to anyone. You do not have to be a Sky TV or Sky Broadband customer to access Sky’s news feeds or to download Sky Ticker.
What is Adobe AIR?
Adobe® AIR™ is a runtime environment provided by Adobe Systems Incorporated. Applications built for Adobe AIR run on your desktop without a web browser. Further information can be found at http://www.adobe.com/products/air
