What is RSS?
Many different sites syndicate content, such as news headlines and blog entries, as RSS feeds. This provides a way for you to stay informed with the latest news and stories from your favourite sites by retrieving their latest stories and saves you time by eliminating the need to manually check your favourite sites. Instead you subscribe to your favourite feeds and use a feed reader, such as Sky Ticker, to present the stories to you. RSS is quite simply an international standard which defines the format for distributing the stories on the web, so that your feed reader can recognise and display the story content, wherever it came from.
